We are a small team of three enthusiasts from the Republic of Moldova, united by a simple belief: useful things should not go to waste.
oiomap is a free platform that helps people exchange items they no longer need with others nearby. Whether it's food approaching its expiry date, electronics gathering dust in a drawer, books you've already read, or tools you rarely use — everything can find a new owner who actually needs it.
We want to build a world where sharing is the first instinct, not the last resort. Our platform is designed to make giving and receiving as easy as opening a map. No money changes hands. No complicated processes. Just people helping people.
We noticed that many perfectly good items end up in landfills simply because people don't know who might need them. At the same time, others struggle to afford things that someone nearby would gladly give away. oiomap bridges this gap by connecting givers and receivers based on location.
Users add items they want to give away, mark them on the map, and wait for someone nearby to propose an exchange. Through our built-in chat, both parties agree on a meeting point. After a successful exchange, both earn karma points — building trust within the community.
oiomap is and will always remain free. No ads. No hidden fees. Just a community of people making the world a little less wasteful, one exchange at a time.
